Do what I did. Take the lower control arm off, take it to the dealer and have them replace the bushing. They have THE tool to press the new one in. I found out that the new bushing is 1/10" larger than the hole and THE Volvo tool presses it in properly. I tried to do it my self and couldn't. I also tried to get a repair shop to do it but the couldn't.
The outer ring of the bushing is plastic and does deform during insertion but only if it is kept in perfect alignment.
Replace the ball joints and tie rod ends too. The tie rod ends are different fron side to side and are more 850 like. Look at them, they are curved. Make sure you get ones with the correct threads. I got on with LH threads and had to get one from the dealer as opposed to aftermarket.
One more thing, rack boots! Replace 'em. (with the tie rod ends off, they're a snap.)
