I'll second Ringlee's advice to get the OEM wiring diagram! In the alternative, get yourself a subscription to alldatadiy and a new cartridge for your printer.
Whatever you do, be assured that the "pull some wires and maybe it'll work" approach will cause a lot of interesting situations. BTDT
