Electrical problems still an issue. 200 1989

The only person I know with a "new" Volvo has a 98 V70 that has had endless electrical problems (switches, lights, radio etc). Engine and body seem OK, but even this old Volvo fan cried: uncle and bought a jap car, the horror!
P.S. : Still kept his '93 244 wagon though.
