Boy, was he ticked 200

I recommend giving your car a look-see after the shop does a repair. Once I popped the hood to look at the new parts my dealer installed and found a socket from a ratchet wrench sitting on the lip in the engine compartment near the hood latch. If that thing rolled into the fan blade while driving on the highway, it could've punched a nice hole in my radiator. Naturally, I was not pleased, but other than showing it to the customer service flunkie and the mechanic himself, I didn't make much of a fuss over it. Later I removed the car's belly pan and found several nuts in it. That freaked me out, but I'm hoping it was a nut dropped during maintenance and the mechanic got another one instead of trying to fish that one out. Plus those nuts may have come from me and not the shop.

Now I always pop the hood when I come to pick up the car from my dealer. It may be rude, but after the above incident, better to be a bit rude than sorry.
