removing surface rust and painting the wheels... 1800 1973

Well, that's what i did with my wheels, but i didn't even use any POR or anything like it, it would have been a good idea, but i was lazy and am not planning on keeping these wheels forever. I just sanded them a little bit, then masked off the tire and painted with some wheel paint from the local auto store.(but make sure you do a good masking job, cause paint doesn't look good on tires :) don't ask me how i know...). Been working fine for the past 6 months. So I'm sure what you're doing will be just fine. Good luck!
