If you suspect the engine mounts, easy way to check is to take a peek under the front of the car. There's a rubber bumper on the middle of the front crossmember. The sump should be 3/8" to 1/2" above the bumper. Less than that, you're looking at sagging mounts.
My mounts are definitely pooched... the sump is pretty much resting on the rubber bumper. I have increased noise and vibration at idle, but no difference in turns, as you describe. New hydraulic mounts, & tranny mount, go in next weekend...
