What to check next 200 1984

Thanks for the ideas, definately gives me more to look at -
-The battery terminals (along with pretty much every other electical connection) are all freshly cleaned and sanded from my previous charging issue.
-All the connections between alternator, starter, battery, etc. were totally looked over and in many cases totally replaced in my (and the previous owner's) attempt to fully restore all parts of the charging system. So unless I missed something before, those wires shouldn't be an issue.
-I do have the in dash voltmeter that came stock with my turbo - so I'm not sure where the hot wire is wired in. I am however pretty sure that in the past when I start the car the voltmeter shows charge with the key in the III position. I could very likely be making that up in my mind though - maybe I just want to think I've seen that before. Am I crazy here?
Again, thanks for the input!
