Hey Luke:
I gotta second Steve's advice. I tried all the bumper coat preparations, which all looked good until the first rainfall. I repainted the bumpers and the side trim on the 240 using bumpercoat paint that I got at Advance Auto. Used the 'bumper black' color, and it looks great (has been on for almost a year, actually). I think one of the keys to this is to get a good preparation product to clean up the bumpers and get rid of all the built up wax and silicone from the bumper treatments. Then mask off the car with tape and newspapers and put on two coats of the paint. It took about a can and a half for the 240. I did it all in one afternoon, including the prep and paint. The paint dries very quickly, and you can put on a couple of coats very quickly. You'll be amazed at how nice it turns out. See the FAQs for more details.
Hope this helps.
Mike
