Ventilation vents cycle with a mind of their own S90-V90 1997

This is a guess on my part, but if your car has automatic climate control, then it may be similar to what was going on in my wifes s90. There is a control box on the passenger side under the dash that has a connector with about 6-8 wires on it. My wifes car had a similar problem in that the ac would be running but the vents would open and close on their own. I found that by wiggling the connector I could get the vents to open and close at will. The fix was relatively easy, I pulled the control out, opened it up and found just about all the connector solder joints had cracks (cold solder) and proceeded to resolder them. That fixed the problem on her car. Also save a couple of hundred on replacing the module, not to mention the labor. Good Luck.
