Another approach, which checks both the sensor and the wiring to it, is to make measurements of the sensor at the input to the ECU. You can either measure the resistance with the ECU connector unplugged, or voltage with it plugged in and the ignition on. (Don't plug or unplug the connector with the ignition on, however!)

Although you avoid having to work under the intake manifold this way, you do have to get into the passenger side kick panel (to the right of the glovebox) and back probe the connector.
