It is helpful when you have really cold winters, making the car less cranky
in the first few minutes till the engine starts to get warm.
I was glad to put mine back on my 164 when I came back to Oklahoma from
Panama (where I DIDN'T need it!)
It really only helps in about the first 5 minutes.
