Get a dipswitch relay from a later model, screw it to the inside of the
front fenderwell under the edge of the hood, pull the wires back through
the firewall and hook it up, running a wire to the unused terminal on the
turn signal and you now have a manually operated dipswitch and you don't have
to worry about the switch in the puddle any more.
