The first time is tough. After that it is a breeze. Yank hard! Also make sure you check, clean and/or replace all the related hoses...

One other thing. The small hose from the flame trap runs to the intake manifold. There is a little brass nipple there that is removable (carefully - its brass!) with a small wrench. Check both as they are common places for a clog. Brass nipple can be cleaned with a paper clip. I had a clog in the small hose on my 90.
