steering and alignment questions 200

I second the vote for the Steering Column U-joints.

Be advised that if you take the Ball Joint off, you are likely to lose the Camber setting on that strut, due to the "slop" in the 3 control arm bolts.

Top to bottom on the right side has about 1/8" to 1/4" play vertically. Could this be a caster problem. Maybe a ball joint going out?

That does sound excessive. Maybe really loose/worn wheel bearings or possibly the BJ, which could affect caster (bottom front-to-rear play). There is no caster adjustment per se, as it is built in to the BJ mounts.
