960 reliability?

I have never owned a Volvo but am considering buying a '96 960 wagon with 80k miles. This is a one owner with every scheduled service done by a Volvo mechanic. I have heard some horror stories about some Volvo models--not sure whih ones. Is the '96 960 a reliable and easy to maitain model? Any informed opinions appreciated.
