I have never liked the brake pedal feel of the 940, seems like 7/940's are like this. My old 240 is rock solid. Having said this, I have never had any issues with the brakes. Fronts last 35 - 40 kmiles (depends on driving and braking style). Good standard rotors are available at FCP, RPR for a decent price. I just did a pad and rotor change last fall on the 940, ~102 bucks for rotors/pads and 5 bucks worth of brake fluid to flush the system. Can't b*tch about that too much. I don't think you'll have any problems, especially if you flush every 2 years like the book tells you to. Good luck.
