Another Sunroof problem 900 1995

Besides the good advice Rob gave, you should know how to manually close the sunroof. After you take off the motor cover, look foe a slotted screw head with a small hole in the center. There is a little rod in that hole. Put a regular blade screwdriver in the slot so that it depresses that little rod. Now you can turn the screwdriver and the sunroof should move.

I had to learn this when the sunroof switch on my '93 940 went bad. I replaced the switch and all is well. I opened up the old switch and saw the heat of the contacts had melted some of the plastic parts inside. I think it is a poor design to run high current through a switch. They should use a relay.

Did you get an owners manual with the car? The sunroof procedure is in that. If you didn't get one, you should look for one.
