well i've been working on my 91' 740T and in the few days before i pulled it off the road for an engine swap(94 L block going in) i was having probs getting the hood to open from inside the car.

well the thing is that if you pull the lever under the dash the hood doesn't open ... i haven't had anyone else here yet to even check if its pulling on the cable but how do i adjust the cable tighter so that it will open??

i'm pretty sure the cable isn't broken as fromt he outside i can try to pull the cable from the first latch and its holding tight like the cable is fine. and if i just pull the latch back by hand from the front it pops both latches free tho when i pull the lever from under the dash nothing happens...

so any tips or ways to adjust this?? i think there is a plastic thread or something on the level under the dash but i dont' want to mess w/ it yet
