Yes, the D-35 is a Martin, sold my first car, an MGA, to buy it. Even went and toured the factory while they were building it. It's a toss-up, which would be worth more now, the car or the guitar, but the guitar is a lot more dependable ;-)

There has been lots of stuff posted about upgrading headlight wiring. Search the archives with regard to headlight relays. They're used to route power from the battery directly to the headlights without sending it through the light switch.
