From my understanding and from previous posts, the electric fan on the front hardly ever comes on. This is where I rarely differ with the faq. It has been affectionately refered to as the "oh, sh!?" fan. That is, this fan will kick on when your radiator is about to blow. Notice the temp sensor for the fan is located in the radiator. This fan is to facilitate in cooling the engine and not necessarily cooling the condesor. Mine has never turned on to my knowledge and my A/C performance never lacked.
Now you can change the wiring so that the fan runs otherwise to help in cooling the condensor and engine...but that is a custom job. I hope this helps.
