there's a black box with a cable to the speedo, this is the reminder trigger. should be a button to push, or just unplug it from the cluster. this puts out the light. i think, the box was set for 15k miles but that was changed to 30k for the o2 sensors. which might be why your bulb was pulled. good luck, chuck.
