Sumitomo is a HUGE Japanese tire company. Big OEM supplier. Probably #2 or #3 with Yokohama, right behind Bridgestone-Firestone. Ever hear of Dunlop? Sumitomo bought them in the mid '90s and manufacture many models with the Dunlop name on them. Of course, many US built Sumi tires are made in the Dunlop factories.
