rough idle stalling when warmed up .....not the harness help 700 1985

While I'm wondering how you came to the conclusion that it's not the harness...

It sounds like it needs a couple of things. Idle speed regulation is a problem if the throttle body is dirty. This can prevent the TPS (throttle position switch) from closing. Buy a throttle body gasket ($1) and a can of carb cleaner, remove the three 13mm nuts, vacuum lines and electrical connection and clean it thoroughly.

The plugs are probably fouled again. You could have a failed fuel pressure regulator making high fuel pressure, therefore a rich mixture, or the engine coolant temp sensor (ECT) could be bad. Then it runs as if the choke is on, very rich, fouls the plugs. And this problem could definitely be wiring harness related. A broken or corroded wire causes high resistance, same as a failed sensor and the same as "VERY COLD" according to the sensor circuit.

Good luck!
