Time for some basic troubleshooting. 700 1985

Look at the tach when cranking-is it "jumping"? That should indicate you have spark although you can take a spare plug and attach it to a plug wire and look for a spark while grounding it.
You can also listen or have someone else listen for main pump operation. The in tank pump doesn't cause too much trouble if you're over 1/2 tank.
I would suspect that with fouled plugs you are getting fuel.
Try disconnecting the AMM (air mass meter) Do not reconnect it while running if it starts!
Other suspects: power stage-hall sensor in the distributor-also look for oil inside the dist. cap- fuel pump relay??
Make a trip to recycler and pick up as many engine electical components as you can afford. (should be pretty cheap given the age of these vehicles)
I always test them when everything is working good so I know I have reliable spares.
Now you can throw parts at it when you stuck in the wilderness 200 miles from a tow! (like I was when my radio supression relay took a dive!!!)
Also take a look around the engine bay; cracked or split hoses, check all the grounds and connectors.
Sorry,I'm not a pro but these tips worked for me, don't forget to visit the FAQ's,there is a wealth of info there.
Good luck!
