While parts-car pulling yesterday, I took off these two items which I don't know the function of. They're off a '67 automatic 122 sedan. They are electrical components which are shaped like cylindrical condensors or "pots". They have three prongs on the bottom side and both were bolted very near each other, one right under the left-hand hood spring mechanism on the firewal, and the other just near that, on the wing-wall. They both appear to have the same parts numbers and other info stamped on them, so I assume they must be the same thing.
The stamping reads:
SR 803
12V max 100W
669 102
4-66 Overdrive
Made In Germany
Since this was an automatic, I couldn't imagine it was an actual Laycock overdrive component, but the car doesn't have an engine or tranny in it, so it could have been converted to a manual with OD at some point I suppose.
Any idea what these are oh knowledgable ones?
