I have found that Bondo on bare metal, no matter how clean, is vulnerable to rust entering again through the sides of the repair area THROUGH the paint. So the question comes back to what works to seal the metal first; Bondo can go on top of the paint/primer/magic compound. I have been experimenting with PR15; anybody have long term success with it in the salt belt?
