you have 3 problems.

the service light is not tied to any broken wire on the engine. it needs to be reset to put the light out.

the temp wire is yellow and under the inake manifold.

the broken wire, if it's black, is for the oil pressure switch and should be repaired. if it's red, it's for the alternator. good luck, chuck.
