A couple months ago I bought a '79 245 that wasn't running. I had sold the owner quite a few parts in the past and he finally gave up as he was having to hire someone to work on the car. Did all the regular things and got it running and drove it quite abit. Sometimes it took a while to start, but eventually started. A month or so ago it quit and will not start. Been busy, so haven't got back to it.
One of the things I saw when inspecting it before buying was that the mechanic had replaced the main metal fuel line with a rubber hose. Was not sure the hose would hold the pressure, but seemed to.
Now I am getting fuel thur the fuel filter, but not to the injector.
Ideas? Is the rubber hose not containing the pressure so the rest of the injection system isn't working? In the past on large trucks, we have used nylon air brake tubing as fuel lines, any reason this won't work on the 245?
Any other ideas of where to start checking?
Thanks
