Help identifyng electrical component (745TIC) 700

Hi,

I recently replaced the engine wiring harness in my 86 745tic. While doing so, I noticed a broken wire leading to a component mounted on the drivers side fender, over the battery. The component in question looks like a bundle of 4 white ceramic cylinders, each about 2.5" long. There are 5 wires leading to it, one wire to the end of each individual cylinder, and one through the middle of the bundle. I soldered the broken wire, but I am not confident I was able to make a good connection. I wonder if any of you could tell me what this component does, and what it is called so that I can get a replacement if nessasary.

Thank you for your help,

Jeremy
