Basic A/C question 200 1984

I need to measure and recharge the refrigerant, but I'm not sure where to hook up the gauge and the can of r134.

The system has been updated with the Volvo kit. There's a likely looking Schrader-type valve on the passenger side of the receiver/drier and a a valve under a blue dust cap on the compressor itself. Or is the right valve somewhere else?
