Does the a/c work (cools)? Before swapping out did the fan come on immediately when the a/c is turned on? My 91 740 was retrofitted with 134a
befoe i bought it and my fan only comes on when the system needs it. Try driving around the block a few times and see if the fan comes on. I can tell when my fan comes on when the engine idle decreases slightly momentarily due to the alternator working a bit harder due to the electrical draw.
