I had a TPI Chevy F.I. system that gave me trouble like that. 340 dollars in injectors later I replaced the 12 dollar coil that was becoming intermittent. I found it when I was setting the timing for the third time, the timing light wouldn't flash everytime. I guess I should also include the cost of the 2nd timing light I bought when I thought my timing light was going bad.
