I could definitely be wrong here, but... I'm pretty sure that those are just a year issue.... I think those were fazed out shortly before the first Volvos came across the pond... probably '54 or '55.

Might they have been the turnsignals? That would be my guess...

In looking again at that auction... I would say those ones area an aftermarket accessory offered to folks with later cars that didn't have 'em. But again, I could be totally wrong. In any event, I'd say his price ain't bad...

Geez... that fella scares up some pretty neat stuff in looking at his other offerings.
