ac/ blower 700 1987

My 87 745T did the same thing a year ago - was the check valve (that little black/white "top" looking thing in one of the vacuum lines) - at the top of the intake near the firewall.

The vents stay open under vacuum and when the check valve fails, there's nothing to keep them under vacuum and open. The turbo would obviously rob any vacuum in the system under boost and your air vents would instantly close.

I usually take them off any car I see them on in the yards as extras.
