Lifter hardness concerns... 140-160

Ken,
If you bought more than you need, why not take one stock lifter and one brand X to the metallurgy department of your local engineering school and have them perform a brinell hardness test? It's a destructive test, so you won't be able to use these two - but you'll know how brand X stacks up in terms of hardness.
