Idles low after driving 1800 1971

No, that is what my advice was for. Adjust your idle speed when the engine
is hot and it should be fine. If it is too fast when cold you can put some
kind of restriction in the Auxiliary Air regulator or the hoses connected
to it. Most of the Auxiliary Air regulators don't work anymore, and in fact
I am trying to find a good one for the Yellow Peril, my 73 145E. I have
3 of them, NONE of which works!

The Auxiliary Air regulator is made of aluminum and is mounted next to the
manifolds near the front of the cylinder head. Got 2 black hoses hooked
to it, one coming out the end and one coming out the side. It opens when
cold to let in more air for faster idle and closes when hot to slow the
idle down to normal speed.
