Thanks Bob, that's exactly what I did. After looking on McMaster Carr, I went to NAPA and bought a roll pin or pressure dowel, or whatever. McMaster had the high strength pins, exactly like volvo. They are made from steel rolled over several times. The NAPA ones are only rolled once.

The heavy duty ones have 40% more shear strength.
