Volvo Radiators

I know the topic of over heating has been brought. In thinking about it, and the psychio my paresets camry is having becasue of it, I wonder what I should do about mine. It is best to take it to the shope to have it "professionally cleaned if better then I could do?" Should I replace the original plastic radiator before something bad happens? If I do that do I want the "uprgraded three bay metal one" How come volvo didn't use metal ones? Was it them saving a few bucks, or did they actally have a reason? P.S I don't use my A/c.
