Restoring the black on bumper vinyl

Just got a '90 745t. The bumper vinyl trim has turned gray. I put on some Meguar's vinyl cleaner/protectant and it didn't seem to do any good. In the past on the interior this seemed to bring out the color. Any brand/product suggestions? TIA
