Hello Robert,

These overdrives work backwards from everything else in the universe! The solenoid is engaged (Overdrive on) until you press the OD button, engaging the OD relay. When the OD relay pulls in a Normally Closed contact opens and the car shifts back into 3rd gear. Since the transmission works fine as a 4 speed automatic, I modify the solenoid to allow it to pass fluid all of the time.
