The one on our 98 S90 went out at 67,000, the one on our 95 960 went out at 150,000.

Get in the habit of using "L "on the transmission selector once in a while. This should prolong the life of the PNP. It keeps the contacts clean and moves the grease around. I disassembled the two I recently replaced and determined that inactivity in the "L" range, along with heat contribute to the early failure of the PNP sensors on these cars.
