Just did some further diagnosis on it and found, much to my surprise, that when it doesn't start I'm not getting ANY fuel whatsoever. I found this really strange since it will run strong when it DOES run, but puylling the hose and running it to a bucket during crank confirms the no fuel situation.
What this means I'm not really sure, but I'm inclined to think that somehow the fuel pump is either shorting out or not getting powered on when it should... It could be that the pump is just dying and or dead (the car won't start now at all), but I have a hard time believing it could run strong one minute and just outright die the next.
I guess I need to jump the fuel pump relay sockets to see if I can power on the fuel pump directly. If I can't I guess the pump is shot, if I can are there other failure points that would cause the pump not to come on? Is there a common short point for the fuel pump? As I said earlier the FPRelay is virtually brand new, could it have failed already? I looked at the socket and relay wiring and all seems to check out fine.
Thanks in advance for any help.
