Improper shifting 700

1987 volvo, auto, 210,000 miles.

It shifts at very high rpms, like 4500. It started doing it very suddenly. Nothing else seems to be wrong, aside from the fact that it wants to stall when first taking off with the engine cold. Any ideas?
