Intermittent no start 700

1987 740, with 210,000 miles. Occasionally, when the key is turned, nothing happens - no click, nothing.

I am thinking starter solenoid - where is it located? What else could it be, neutral safety switch? It has been out of park/neutral several times when this occurs but the problem is not resolved.

Loose cable somewhere?
