So I should feel lucky to have dual Strombergs in my 1970 145?

Also, re: the earlier comment about not requiring any synchronization between the Stroms (other than checking the piston height), is that actually true? I have heard from two people, including the previous owner, that these would need to be balanced before I'd get full power.
