Symptoms of binding kickdown cable? 200

Check the slack on the downshift cable---there should be some. Pull on the cable and release and you should hear a slight clunk when releasing. This means the mechanism in the transmission has returned to its stop. I have had a cable bind part time or be sticky and replaced it. They do get rusty, injured etc. The cable should operate easily though.

Good luck,

dick
