If you are interested in new equipment, check out these guys; http://vintageair.com . They specialize in street rod installations and have a whole host of quality products to choose from to simplify the project. If Momma and the little kiddles want cool ASAP, then you may be interested in going this route. Might just reduce the "doghouse " factor. Don't ask why I know about the doghouse!!!
They have a great tech section on their website to help you as well. They specialize in making 134a systems that really cool. Check this link out for sure for good tech advice;

PS
If you run across a York compressor bracket, for your B20, grab it, Vintage air makes an adapter for the Sanden rotary compressor.

Check out the GEN II Compac system, with the vertical sliding levers ( Looks like they will fit in the original spot). It might make a really spotless install and you can dispense with all that 40 year old Volvo heating stuff. That Is the one I am lookin at. I know a guy has one in his 50's Plymouth sedan and it will freeze your bu__ off!!!! The under dash dimensions look real close.
