Another question: sat for 9 days and now won't start

I would be looking somewhere else for why the car didn't start. Having the refrigerant line open shouldn't have any effect on the ability for the engine to run.

Check the fuses particularly if you have a 200 series. Rotate the fuses and make sure their not oxidized.

Might help if you let the board know what model you have.
