Trouble Installing AW 71 700 1987

The torque converter has to seat all the way down. Sometimes it can appear to be seated, but not be all way in. Turn it until it seats properly. Can be a pain. You can also pull the converter out and look at it to see how its configured, then look inside the tranny where it goes. Give you a better idea of what to do.
