door beeper problem 700 1989

I just encountered this today. In my instance I attached the cd player power (yellow) to the green and red from the volvo harness. The dinger then wouldn't stop until I disconnected the wire. I later noticed that I also blew the fuse for the dinger (also the clock and dash lights were on this fuse). Check the CD wires and the fuses, that'd be a good place to start. Do you have the wiring diagrams for your car and radio?
